Checksums and hash identifier
Computes SHA-256, SHA-512 and BLAKE3 for several files at once – block-wise, even for very large files. Compare against a checksum list (SHA256SUMS) or identify which hash you have.
Compare with a checksum list
Paste the content of a SHA256SUMS, SHA512SUMS or b3sum file, or load it. Files are matched by name.
Identify a hash
Paste a hash and this tool names the likely algorithms based on length and format. It can only guess: hashes of equal length are indistinguishable.
MD5, NTLM and SHA-1 are considered insecure. For passwords only slow algorithms such as Argon2id, scrypt or bcrypt are suitable.
